Dining Etiquette - The Art of Meal and Beyond-Salt n’ Pepper Please
Refine your dining skills while enjoying a 3-meal-course. No Dining Etiquette is an incomplete education! Your table manners reveal a lot about your educational background. There is more to dining than passing the salt and pepper or just filling the belly. Knowing how to navigate the rules of the table has always been an important professional skill. However, some of the etiquette tips have had to be adjusted in light of the recent pandemic events.

This course covers all elements of dining etiquette, whether you’re the host or the guest, from arrival all the way through to departing the table and thank you note. By the end of the course you will master the rules of the table to fit in anywhere with anyone, feel confident about any dining table set, from the white house, the crown, downton abbey to the queen’s banquet, circulating at drinks parties, introducing guests to one another and dealing with seating plans, toasts and speeches. How you hold your knife and fork, where you place your napkin, how you sit, how to converse without touching taboo topics, small-talk savy – all these and the way we eat reveals a lot about us. But it’s not just about observing the rules. Table manners are about more than simple customs.

The first part of the course focuses on the theory of dining etiquette and in the second session, you put these skills into practice over a three-course meal. Employers say that a person’s table manners (or lack thereof) may be a deciding factor in securing a signed contract.
