How to Write Professional Emails that Get Results
In a mobile digital age where people are texting each other casually using short forms, emojis and online slangs, the art of professional writing is gradually diminishing. The quality of written communication has declined as standards are being compromised. This is particularly evident as more young Millennials enter the workforce and write to their bosses and business clients the way they would text. So much so that they struggle when they have to write a formal email to someone important, someone they do not know well, or on a serious subject matter. How an email is written will affect the receiver’s perception of the writer and the image of the organisation he represents.
    Objective
The main objective of the workshop is to help participants write better, more professional emails in the workplace to achieve the results and outcomes that are desired.
    Outline
    Key Outcomes
Participants will learn the fundamental habits of good written communication, what is the context for which the email is to be written, how to start and end an email, how to write persuasively and concisely, what is the tone to adopt, how to proofread, how to format and finally, how to send the email.
The workshop will be conducted in an engaging manner with visual storytelling aids, classroom participation, practical writing exercises, tips and techniques and email examples.
