Network Like A Pro: Establishing Credibility In The Business Environment
Rather than simply tossing about business cards of rattling off professional accomplishments, the art of powerful networking considers what two parties can offer each other that’s mutually beneficial. The truth is, there’s a certain attractive appeal to those who are able to quickly tap into others wants, needs and desires. But how does one learn how to network with ease and self-confidence, all the while taking into account the psychology and body language of human behavior? In this regard, here are 3 modules which are primed towards maximizing one’s credibility and likability at any networking event.
    Objective
At the end of the course, the participants would be able to:

    1. Learn how body language affects networking situations and group interactions. Here the participant will learn how to 'break' into groups within networking or business environments, in order to facilitate rapport building and to make new connections.

    2. Using a structured four-point format, the participant will learn how to present a concise and quick pitch to pique a sense of curiosity and interest in the other person's mind.

    3. Here the participant will learn how to use praise in a unique manner, so he/she can be remembered after the event and can stay on top of mind while making a great first impression.
    Outline
Introduction to "Your Network Is Your Net Worth": Statistics on requirements of relevance of building your network. (i.e., networking is no more considered a soft skill).

Module 1. The Body Language of Breaking into a Networking Environment.
This module covers a comprehensive understanding of increasing inclusivity in social environments through assessing which groups are open in a networking or business scenario. This section is divided into understanding ‘body positioning’; how to assess peoples’ comfort levels; and techniques for subliminal rapport building.

Module 2. Creation of an Impactful Introduction (Pitch Building Techniques)
Learning how to engage a new contact by presenting a concise and interesting overview of one’s professional self. This module covers a 4-step process towards building a solid introduction: ie., specificity, passion, two-way engagement, and bridging the identity gap.

Module 3. Techniques to Keep One "On Top of Mind"
This module focuses on how to engage the other party by appealing to their self-interest, without losing ones’ personal impact. There is also emphasis on praising techniques with regards to work/effort vs personality/intelligence. In addition, the student will learn how to use ones’ name when complimenting and praising without calling attention back to oneself.
    Who should attend
This course is targeted towards HR, Executives, Managers and Employees that are constantly exposed to networking opportunities. Very useful for those who travel for conferences, attending social and business events, and/or even those who are hosting networking events.
